Research shows that parents and guardians are key influences on a student’s success in college matriculation and retention. At NYC P-TECH schools, we work to keep parents and guardians included in their student’s academic experience. We start this relationship from the very start by welcoming parents and guardians to join us at our Open Houses to learn more about the NYC P-TECH experience and the types of jobs that our students will be qualified to work at upon graduation.
During your student’s experience with NYC P-TECH schools, we hold two parent/teacher conferences each year. We also give each family the opportunity to meet with representatives from the school to receive information on what is happening with their student’s college course taking and what events they can look forward to in the next school year.
Ultimately, we aim to deepen our relationships with parents and guardians to give our students the support they need to succeed in high school, college, and career.
